Im having problems with my epson c86 with sub ink.It was working fine apart from it would only print one page at a time and then i would have to reboot laptop to use again.
Following advice from my supplier to re install it all,now it doesnt work at all.All i get is a communication error, ive tried everything to get it working,i have wasted about 5 days and im losing customers by the day.
Im getting really fed up with this as i have a few orders for mugs coasters and mousemats that need to be done by friday as i am away for a week next week.
Please help, any advice would be great!
    Thank you.

How is the printer attached? USB or Parellel Port. Can you be more specific with the error message?

    What OS are you using.

its attached by usb and is windows xp.
the error that comes up is
Check all connections and make sure all devices are on. If the power was turned off during printing, cancel the print job. If the error does not clear, see your printer documentation

First thing I would do is go to your Device Manager and see if you have an
exlamation point (!) next to the printer or if the printer is even there.
Control Panel > System then Select Hardware Tab then Device Manager Button.
Check to see if you have any Unknown devices, ! or a red x anywhere related to the printer or USB ports.

if so I would Rignt click and uninstall. Then scroll to the top and right mouse click on the computer icon and select “Scan for Hardware changes”

That may find the printer and reinstall it.

If that doesn’t work. Delete all referenced to the Printer in the Printer Ctrl Panel. Unplug the printer from the usb port. Download latest drivers and reinstall. Also Check epsons site sometimes they post utilites to uninstall all old referenceds to the drivers.
