This little graphic is a picture of the first actual job that left my shop off of our ColorSpan 72SR printer. We did it a couple of months ago. I’m just feeling nostalgic for it as it was a freebee for a friend’s mom. Of course there were promises of lots of promotional banners in the future but because of politics they went elsewhere. To make matters worse, I just found out that the lady in question actually SOLD the freebee to a local CSI club. Hmmm… good enough for her to promote with, to resell, but not good enough for me to get an actual order. How’s that for a kick in the shins?

Well at least it’s a damn nice banner.
Remember, what goes around comes around,
and you will surely win in the end.
I hope you signed it with your phone number too!

    Jill:

Like a complete spaz, I was in such a rush to get the product out there that I didn’t put the number and logo on it. That won’t happen again! Of course, the petty part of me wants to go to tell of the other local theatre groups and offer them free banners just to annoy the lady in question but hopefully calmer parts of me will prevail. Glad that you liked the banner, it means a lot as I’ve seen some of your work.

hi rob, what can i say but, very nice banner! 😛
looks great. i like how you seem to have got the neon glow just right… well done.

never mind about the customer, it’s her loss, she will never get the same stadard elsewhere. forget her, just make sure that when the day comes, and it will…. she walks in the door asking for a sign/banner and you say. not a problem but how about squaring me up for that banner now? of course she will say no… you then say well i dont need your sort of business, now beat it! :lol1: :lol1:

    constructive crit:
just a sort of self preference here, but ide maybe have dropped the top cluster of text a 2 inches, as it seems a bit too close to the top of banner.
like i said, im just being picky….

great work rob and thank you for taking the time to post your stuff.
    😉

    Robert,

You’re right. The top probably should have come down a few inches. It’s a learning process for us each day.

Yes, I should be calm and cool about it all. Still, there is some part of me that thinks it would be nifty to lace that ladies panties with sand.

Thanks for the comments on the layout.

    Stevo,

How could a good little Canadian NOT have a Tim Horton’s picture in a banner. As an aside you wouldn’t believe how many people think that’s my hair. I’ll probably have to go back to being a copperhead (or avatarded)…
