Dunno what type of problems you are talking about , however doing environmental calibrations first thing and then again after a while of running might help.

    Hi,
Do you mean the 10 minutes it takes in the “now heating” mode before it will print? 🙄 Sometimes it is hard to stay patient!

I’ve not got a Versacamm myself but heard from a user recently that ran into a few problems early one cold morning. Apparently the ink became clogged up in a filter of some sort. No idea really what they mean but would like to understand the issue a bit better.

Says you are supposed to do an enviromental check very often fron the panel for best results

There are no filters in the Versacam , the ink goes from a cartridge along to pumps and then to dampers (little reservoirs) and then to the heads themselves. The cold wouldnt cause a blackage , leaving the heads uncapped (off the capping station where they park) might cause the heads to dry up .

Cheers for that Rodney – I’ll clarify this with the machines owner next time I talk to them. They did specifically say that ‘little filters’ had ‘clogged’. I thought myself that this was possibly because of viscosity changes due to the cold. Your information contradicts this assumption. Steve.
