supplier advice
guys – i am sure your all familiar with the trendy office signs that are either glass or acrylic on stand off locators with vinyl to the reverse type scenario
but my client has asked for a glass or acrylic with a green yet mottled finish that she has seen elsewhere – any ideas of a supplier?
Moderator question – I have a naff photo to submit but cant post in this section could it be moved elsewhere to post attachment for help?

Cox Plastics stock this too although I can’t remember what they call it, it’s used a lot for internal signs where a glass effect is wanted but without using glass! 😉
The only problem we’ve found is that it marks quite easily so you might want to put anti graffiti or similar onto te face.

Plexiglass do a range of acrylic that has a clouded effect very nice and is called Satinice, we buy this from amari plastics. http://www.amariplastics.com. You have to be careful when flame polishing the edges that you mask them off as the flame polished can remove the satinice effect from the fascia. This is beautiful when seen in finished product, unfortunatey sheets of this stuff are expensive
