Dragon Pro Plotter – any views on it please??
Posted by MattWoolley on 7 July 2005 at 20:19Hey guys.
Jost wondering if any of you had seen these plotters before, if so what are they like, they seem a bit cheap, but if theyre a decent machine then its a steal.

Its called a dragon pro i think, not a name ive ever heard of?
-
not heard of it but it sounds like one of the Chinese plotters that seem to be popping up on eBay.
Main thing you have to remember is spare parts for servicing or breakdowns. I would be very wary.

Yer I think ill give it a miss, go for something a bit more reliable, or a least one where i can contact the manufacturer if theyres a problem, plus i just did a search for dragon ro and theyre is nothing a bout it on the net, which cant be a good thing.
Cheers anyway mate

certainly seems a good buy but i personally would still be very wary.

wouldnt touch it with a barge pole sorry.
IF the software is all ligit the machine is crap. if it is not and its all chucked in pirate stuff then your getting a good price for the width, but that is all. width is not everything, its what runs the machine etc etc.
the picture shows a shell, how do you know its not powered by tightley twisted rubber bands? :lol1:sorry im a bit anti ebay & the dealers that use it as a shop front.

If they where that good, they wouldn’t be selling them on ebay!

with little prior detective work, i plumped for a summa summacut D60, bought off ebay for around £1700 inc vat
doesnt seem i paid an bad price, came with a stand, rol holder etc etc, great cutter that to date i’ve had no problems with,
thoroughly reccomend it !

if that is a 24inch wide summa cutter mate you “may” have paid over the odds. you can buy it cheaper direct from suppliers with support warranty etc
-
was supplied by a company in devon, brand new, 3yr collect and return warranty, drivers, back-up etc,
that was about a year ago, i guess it may be cheaper now, the pound is stonger still !
i didnt actually pay the vat either, so it came in at around £1420 i think, bought it thru my employer, so to speak.
