Does anyone know where I can get PC-50 Cartridges?
Posted by James@MP on 30 June 2005 at 11:01Now Don’t all laugh please.
Does anyone know where I can get PC-50 Cartridges, im looking for 4 more so i can at least change the colours. Along with a Blade holder. Im not going to be doing anything big with these because the reviews says its terrible but for the small tiny things i want to do with it, i think it will be fine. Im slowly learning how to do things with it from corel draw.
Any help will be much appreciated, i had thought i had found some @ 50p each for used ones then, i was told they are like rocking horse poop. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know?
Thanks

hi James
There is nothing wrong with a PC50/PNC5000, we started our business and ran it for the first year using the same machine
You can get 4 colour carts from roland plus you can get refills from thermal products.
Ask the suppliers of blades for blade holders

Hiya paul thanks for the reply, i ordered some cartridges from a company bit expensive @ £30.32 + vat per colour but it should get me started, where would i get the blades and cutters from for this machine ?

I think Grafityp do blades for the roland
I should ask them if they do blade holders also

Got a price for the blades, but they dont stock the holders any more, these are a compatable blade, is there much difference. ?
-
James,
Let me know what blades you purchased and I can check them against the blade holders that we do stock.

Hiya nigel i havent purchased any yet, im just looking for some so i can give this chap this one back, the holder needs to go into a roland pc-50, i need a blade and a holder. if you can give me a price i would be very grateful.
-
Just had roland phone me back, im glad i was sitting down
A metal holder was about £80 and a plastic one was about £53, but i think once i have everything i will be a happy bunny. -
James,
Good news, the Roland blades that we supply do fit our blade holders, the downside I do not know if the diameter of the blade holder would suit your Roland.
As for prices sorry but you will have to call our sales office, don’t think I should be posting prices.

I just measured the one in this machine, and mines the same size,

The blade holders for the pnc5000 , pc50 are the same for any roland machine , buy the alluminium one and not the plastic one.
You can use the pc 60 refils in the 5000 as well. -
Hiya jobe, i would contact the sales office but i dont have those details, if you could oblige and supply them to me, thanks
-
hiya nigel, i cant send you a private message asking for your sales office phone number for a pc-50 blade and holder.
maybe you can send me one with the contact details i require thanksjames

Dave StandenHiya David, Have you still go some cartridges left ?
Am interested, my collection of cartridge holders is growing now, Mainly black ones at the moment.Does anyone still do a jigg for these cartridges ?
i have put a thermal products ribbon in as the original ribbon is but the machine prints the ribbon but doesnt pull the ribbon back into the cartridge.I have noticed that the original PC-50 cartridges i have got have got a much longer ribbon than the refills. ” Comes in handy when trying new things out ”

I have managed to get the roland to cut, but it refuses to print from corel draw X4. You mentioned that there are a few trick that has to be done before you can print from corel, can you help me?Shane
