    Yeah, I know…(I’m a late developer!)
We are using it for pre-production presentations prior to volume screen printing, and went for the PC600 because we need to simulate white, silver, etc on clear vinyl.
Driving direct from WindowsXP/Corel 12, with no general problems at all, but:

I haven’t got a clue how to set up to use spot colours.
Everything I do just leads to loads of beeping and flashing lights, as though I haven’t got the right ribbon loaded (but I have).

Ideally, I’d like to lay down (e.g.) greyscale gradient tint then fill in spot colours all in one go.

All (any) constructive advice gratefully received.

    Hi Malcolm

I have recently purchased a second hand PC-60 and am going
    through the same learning curve.
I ended up with flashing lights also. My problem was I was that I loaded
some silver ribbon into a Magenta cartridge and didn’t have the file to
print a silver code sticker for the cartridge so I just set my print up
as Magenta CMYK and it printed fine.

    Cheers

You may find it easier to print to the PC600 using flexi-sign- it has integrated support for spot colours and works very well with the PC60 and PC600 in my experience.

Failing that it MAY be possible to create a swatch in Corel that is a spot colour and labelled as the colour you want the machine to output- I have little experience of Corel but it may just do the trick. Also remember that ribbons often get delivered with the incorrect barcodes on them- causing flashing lights etc

unfortunately we don’t have ours anymore else I would try it out for you

    Hope that helps
