i do but got it from allan flyn signs and ive got the pcut version not kingcut
but flyn doesnt seem to value people paying him money his aftercare is shit and he doesnt return fone calls when he says he will -
Surprised about your comments regarding Alan. I have heard he is sometimes difficult to get hold of. But I know he never turns off his mobile & works all hours. Apparently he always has a phone glued to his ear.
-
He is a difficult so and so to get hold of but thats not because he’s trying to elude anyone.
I was in his workshop on several occasions chatting to him about this and that and the number of phone calls was endless… I mean endless.
Just keep trying
All the bestJohn

hi its not a case of i cant get hold of him
i emailed 2 nights ago saying i wanted to buy a new machine he emails back with wat must be his standard message saying please fone
so yesterday morning i go out of my way to fone before i plod of to work
he gets a customer in so asks if he can fone back takes house and mobile number as said was of to work
asked how long he said 2 -3 hours and guess wat im still fricken waitingjust like when i say i have problem with machine he says ill fone back and does till he doesnt now an answer then he just gives up and doesnt fone
how ever i do like the machines easy to use when they work and apart from the long words cutting squint and say i cut a a 6 letter word at list the forth letter is bigger than the rest
but at least haveing dealt with him i know i will get my prchase were as the king cut guy i dont no
and with all ebay purchases im a bit cautious hence asking if any 1 new sign wizard uk -
You really must be easily pleased, you say you like the machine, but in the next breath you say ‘when the machine works’ and they go on to explain how it cuts all of the letters different sizes.
And now you want to buy another one???????????? 😕
I wish I had customers like you

philk
it really is a good cheapish machine
if the after sales service was up to scratch then this would be a perfect alrounderim sure the errors im getting are either a fault to over use of machine or a fault in how im doing it

onestop, the King Cut shares almost all the same parts as the P-Cut so I don’t think purchasing one of those is the answer to your problems.
-
Well I would try to get the machine working I had, hassle the supplier. Visit him if I had too. It has surely got to be a better idea than simply buying a new machine.
If you look at his feedback on ebay he has sold loads of the & had no negative feedback. If you have a duff machine I would ask him to replace it.

Thats twice now on two different posts I have noticed you mention the height of text and the fact that the cutter is plotting it wrong. Text letter height is based on a captal letter height, usually the “H”. If you are plotting 5″ text all in capitols then most letters such as “s”, “o” etc rhat have a curve will be bigger than 5″ if measured, doesn’t mean the plotter is doing anything wrong. Just my opinion but if you are in the market for a new machine to make a living why not look at getting something like a Graphtec which will cost more but is reliable and has good after sales support, even if it means getting a loan to pay for it or financing it, after all this is your bread and butter machine and your customers won’t understand that they didn’t get their signs because your plotter broke down and you couldn’t get hold of the supplier. -
graphtec ? ok how much are we talking and were from
how ever i would expect [call me crazy if u like] letters in cappitals 5 inch high all to be 5 inch high wether rounded tops or straight the higher point on wat ever letter should be 5 inch
for example i did some 18 inch letters it did all well and in cappitals i was so chuffed it had done them put them up and it looked funny the 4 letter in to the end were gradually getting bigger the end result was 19.3 inch letter at end and 18 inch at start
i think thats a bit off
how ever i was watching it cut today and i think the right hand base roller is moving slightly quicker than left but any way thanks for ur advice and i will be getting something new or used this week end so any hints were to get would be greatly appreciated
but budget is limited to 900 loans are out of question im afraid -
If you look at creations website at http://www.creation.com.hk (ifit is allowed on here) then you can compare the two machines. Signwizard are the importer for the King cut and I believe the Kingcut is the newer version of the pcut, as previously mentioned has USB support and is a well made(supposidly) machine.
Regards
Lee
PS you could always e-mail creation directly for their opinion on your problem.

thank you very much for that pal
emailing them now
u say sign wizard are the uk imports for kingcut
do u know of them are they reliable as in will i get the cutter if i pay him as he wont accept paypal only cash through post or in to his bank -
Sign Wizzard has been around avery long time so I am sure you would get whatever you paid for.
BUT what’s the point??! get the one you have sorted!!
Spending another £900 is madness imo 🙄
-
may be but its an upgrade
and who would fix mine
the seller wont h e wont even return calls
creation wont i think as all i get when i try to enter contact page is sonme hi ro glifficks and microsoft 404 message -
onestop ive read a few of your posts mate :banghead: , i think the problem your having isnt your cutter, i think you will find its a software conflict if running in xp try the cutter on another pc running windows 98 i know i sound mad but trust me,
as for upgrading to a larger cutter to do car graphics we have been known in the past to do some and we get by with a 620 cutter fineDave
-
ive whizzed over your post mate and ide say get your head round the software issue a bit more. it may well be this is the problem and you do NOT need a new cutter.
as brian says Sign Wizzard & flynn have been around a while and although i havent used them, ide say they wouldnt be in business this long without being a good supplier.
all this said… if you really do think you need a new cutter and a reliable source/after sales etc email admin@uksignboards.com and i will put you in touch with the UKSG ‘s official suppliers. not only will you get a top end machine at the lowest price you will get a top end service. you have my word on that… ive been using them several years now and considering replacing our old 48inch wide roland for “another” one of theirs…
all i can say now is get off and read upon those books mate… 😉
