There are a number of ways of recreating the 3d effect you have shown here.
The cheapest and easiest is to use red and blue filters. You simply recreate the left eye view using red vinyl – and recreate the right eye view using blue vinyl. The effect can then be seen by anyone wearing a set of spectacles that feature red and blue lenses to decode the artwork.
Similarly – the same can be achieved using polarised lenses. These separate the viewed images into horizontal and vertical polarized light. When viewed with a special set of polarized lense spectacles the effect can then be seen.
A third method is to use a lenticular system which avoids the need for specialised 3d spectacles as this can be seen by anyone without any spectacle augmentation. However, this is very specialised and uses complex software which is perhaps beyond the scope of the average signmaker – so I would stick with red and blue filters to achieve this effect.
I hope this helps 😀

In whatever program, type out & arch your text.
Copy & paste the same.
Place it just below your text.
Then outline the original text a wee bit.
You will need to group the outline with the copied & pasted part.
Then trim it so that it is offset from the original.
Or, do what I do.
Make the main text in vinyl and hand-paint the drop shadow.
EASY!
And much cheaper. Paint scrapes off a window the same as vinyl does.

the font looks quite easy to do, not sure how to do the sillouette of the trees and houses though!
Ok joking apart, what software are you using justin?

The top shadows dont reflect the bottom ones anyway. The P should have the shadow on the left as the top has.
Just imagine a vanishing point and direct all shadows to it.
Phil you crack me up again man LOL.

I need to get myself a pair of them glasses…. where do i get them, do you stock them Rightsigns
SsIiMmOoNn
as you can see i’ve not quite got the hang of it -
I got a pair like that and wear them every day………….is that why my signs always look a little odd 🙄
Seriously though, to create a shadow, first type in the required lettering, select it and look for the shadow option in your software ( depends on which software you are using, I use Flexi, so will describe it using that software) You should have a variety of shadow option to choose from, such as block, perspective, drop shadow etc. Select the one you want and adjust it to suit either by typing in values in the x & y boxes or by pulling it around by the handles on screen, click ok or the tick box and hey presto you have a shadow.
Hope it helps -
Goop I have noticed that when you arch text the shadow moves to the other side.
