  • can anyone help with this van layout please?

Posted by Jayne Marsh on 19 April 2005 at 10:38

Im having a bad day, been awake since early morning and I cant think anymore let alone design, can anyone come up with anything exciting on this. I am stuck with the font on "The Tile House" and "Waterfalls", colours are open to change. Everything I seem to come up with looks messy and disjointed. The customer is not a difficult bloke, but wont pay the earth for anything too fancy. Thanks for any input

I’m too busy to help you with a design today but I have time for a few suggestions, Jem.
*Does the entire address need to be on the door? Seems a bit much…
*Can you try the phone # in blue?
*Do you need “TEL” before the phone number? (Sorry, it’s a pet peeve)
*Try making a panel, it could be a plain rectangle with radius corners, for the secondary copy under “The Tile House”. I think I’d do it in black, with reverse-weeded letters, so that the copy was the color of the van. This might anchor the design a bit.
Other than that I think it will do just fine.
    Love….Jill

JEM, Jill has some good points (TEL is a peeve of mine too 😕 ) but if your client is looking at a budget job, I’d go with this design.

You could tweak it as has been suggested, but I think it is clean and simple which is a good selling point in many ways.

    Well done.

    Cheers
