  moving pinch rollers on cutter

  Hi

  quick question if after cutting a job the knife carriage stops on the left hand side, and you then need to move the left pinch roller to the far right, is it ok to slide this and thus move the knife carriage at the same time?

  if not how can you move the head without having to load a full width of vinyl again?

  Somewhere in the cutting program are settings to tell the plotter which side to stop… also to return to it origin or advance after cutting.
  On mine the l/hand pinch roller is in a fixed position i can only move the right one.
