vehicle graphics: mouse house floral designs
Hi,
Did this yesterday, The picture does not do the colours justice…
The customer brought in the flower and I took a piccy of it then printed on the Cadet..(Just found out how to use the clipping button on Signlab….Great!)
The Pink…or cerease( did not want to use that word as I have no Idea how to spell it) and black really stood out and contrasted with each other..
Customer loved it and have to admit it did look nice and bright.

I like it.
Only constructive crit would be
that it didn’t even need any drop shadows.
Pink is my favorite color.

hows the new wide cadet going? any regrets?constructive crit: i agree with jill, would prefer without the shadow or… a very light grey instead of black.

oh and what does the clipping function do in signlab, im still on sl5 rev12 😉

If you take in a bitmap of with a lot of complex curves in it you just lock the bitmap draw the bits on the bitmap you want make that a path put it behind the bitmap and then clip it and if gives you a bitmap the shape you want and then you can contour cut it of just the bits you need.

For the money I think it is a brilliant piece of kit so no complaints.
The Clipping feature in Sign lab is pretty much what forbie says..
If you have a jpg like the flower on the van which was a digi pic you just do a quick node edit around the bit you want and then hit the clipping button and it removes all the background but does not leave the whit box around the image. A great little tool for pics etc.
As far as the shadow on the van I did a couple of designs and one was with grey as Rob suggested but the one with Black really took the customers eye so that is what we went with. I tried to persuade her to just have it on the main name but she wanted it on ll the pink text. To be honest it really does look striking the pic does not do it justice.
