it gets a bit complicated to attach them without drilling the front, why not drilll the front and put circles of vinyl (banner) over the screw heads, neat and tidy.

Without drilling the front you could attach some FB strip to the back of the sign, one top and one bottom. these need to have an angled bottom face (angled in to the sign face) then another two strips to match them (but their top face is angled to the wall). Then you just sit the sign on the wall strips and screw up from below and down from the top.

Kinda hard to explain without pics.

    Brian,

you could just fix a scrap panel [slightly smaller] to the wall first [screw and countersink this panel] then just double side tape your new panel on top

    cheers

The customer doesnt really want a border of any discription round the signs ,so you can see the probs i have ,but that sounds a good idea Tony.

    Brian

Just looking through Sign Update and have seen a system from Insight Sign Systems called Spectra Dibond Frame. It appears to offer a colour matched frame to Dibond panels and hides any fixings.

    Hope this helps

    Brian,

the very thin [not expensive] red backed d/sided Tessa tape would hold it

    Cheers

I tried insight a few weeks ago, they do not supply the frame on its own, only the complete sign.

Hi Brian, maybe you could do the following, it can make the sign look a little more 3d as well as providing an fix.
bond a batton on the bottom and top rear of the panel to be fixed with epoxy or impact adhesive. Measure the distance between the battons and fix 2 more to the wall at proposed position using standard plugs and screws. Send screws through the batton on the dibond and into the battons on the walls. Job fixed.

    couple of suggestions mate…

using arldite or 3m glue, stick locators to the rear of the sign. create template and screw female locators to wall, then snap fix the panel into the locators. if you put something like a 2 inch radious on each corner coupled with the fact the sign will be raised from the wall a little it could look rather neat?

    or…

route a small valey 1inch in from each side of sign and fold by hand creating a pan effect sign. then mount as before with locators. again.. will look pretty nifty 😉 because of the fold on the dibond the fixings will be completely hid and the sign flush with wall…

….. or you could make a feature of the fixings and use some of the stainless stand-off fixings which come through the face but are pretty trendy at the moment. Just a thought 😉
