Anyone have any advice on laying vinyl onto a race bike fairing etc ?

Said I’d do it for friend, I knew it would’nt be an easy one with all the holes and curves for side casings, rad vents etc.

    Just had a quick go and…………… 🙁
I’m heating up the vinyl to try and curve it round the fairings but it’s still creasing !

    Any tips ?
    Any software available ?

    Cheers

I only use vehicle wrap vinyl on awkward motor bike fairings. You need the vinyl to be as conformable as possible otherwise, well as you’ve found out – problems in every nook and cranny.

The only source of original graphics is the manufacturers. All the rest are just copies of varying quality.

Thanks anyhow but i guessed that would be the case, seems far too much agro to build up a collection of correct fairing sets for so many variations of bikes….

I have had some quotes for sets that i dont have the time to make up from the image works in derby, not seen any of his work but seems to have tons of templates if you need to outsource.
