can anyone suggest layouts for hairdressing salon?

For those of you so inspired, a hypothetical project:

A new hair salon is opening in your town.
They need a main identity sign which will be mounted
above their door, the dimensions are approximately 2’x8′.
They have no specified colors, and their name is
THE RAZOR’S EDGE

The sign can be of any materials or style.
Why not give it a try?

Did it inspire this Design Assignment?

Any sort of Timescale? Why not offer some sort of Prize, could be like a little mini-competition like the Signboard has had previously, and it would be great to see what designs all the guys and gals come up with?

There’s some fantastic designs been done, I particularly like Ramj’s for its wackyness and Adrian’s for the use of the razor blade and the way its set out. Everyone of the designs is a winner though, really cool stuff.

Your design assignments are cool though Jill, hope to see many more of them, they’re a great example of how different signmakers interpret the same information 😀
