    Hi there, all.

To introduce myself, my name is Rob and I am addicted to coffee. Opps, wrong place.

Well my name is Rob and I have been involved with graphics for the last ten years… mostly process colour work for litho and flexo. Over the years I have been expanding my digital department and these days it looks as it is very much becoming a mainstay of the business.

While I am not a signmaker per se, I am involved with indoor large format digital (HP5500, Encad 1000i, hot/cold lamination, drum scanning) and I do have a DisplayMaker 72SR about to arrive here any day now for outdoor work.

Did I mention that I like coffee?

Anyhoo, great site and I hope to learn all manner of stuff from you pros.

    Rob

No, I’m afraid I don’t know Stevo. Or at least I don’t think I do.

The Displaymaker Gator 72SR is made by ColorSpan (www.colorspan.com). It’s a full-solvent unit as you guessed. It’s a nicely balanced printer — nice output, low cost inks, fairly fast. We’re very keen on getting it installed. Hopefully taking official service training on it too so we can order our own parts and handle basic warranty work on it.

BTW, I really enjoyed the faux stained glass tutorial. The end product looked great.

Thanks for the welcome. You’ve got a really nice board here.

    Hello Rob!

Good to see another crazy canuck here. You’ve found a great site with good folk and info.

Hope all is well in Sunnyvale and Mr. Lahey hasn’t been bustin your chops lately. Say Hi to Julian and Bubbles from a flatlander out west.

Didnt think coffee went with pepperoni too well, but hey I know a good cold Keith’s does!!

I’d watch out for that Corey and Trevor, Ive heard they’re trouble.

    hahahahahhahaa

Firstly, Tim Horton’s coffee goes with almost everything. I have found that it works especially well with Bailey’s Irish Cream! And there’s always time for peperoni! Very neat that somebody caught my homage to our Canadian heros… 🙂

With regard to Robert’s post, I am a Canadian and still in Canada. Perhaps I opted for the incorrect option when I joined. If there is a slight refund in order than goodie for me. If it’s a big deal, don’t worry about it all.
