PC60 cartridge Pickup Problem
Posted by Bill Dewison on 13 January 2005 at 14:07I’m right in the middle of a job, and all of a sudden, the PC60 won’t pickup or release cartridges. It gives it 3 tries, then errors! 😮
Help! 😥 😥
Cheers, Dewi

😳 😳 I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I just got a bit frustrated 😳 😳 I tapped the head of the PC60, well, sort of pushed it a little whilst I swore at it.
For some reason though that seems to have done the trick, I closed the front on the PC60 to go and make a brew and have a ciggie, and it just started printing as normal again, picked up the cartridge no problem!! 😮 😮
Are PC60s usually like this or do I have a sado masochist for a PC60 that likes being pushed around a little before it will do its job?

😀 Hi Dewi, 😀
😮 No yours is not the only one, 😮
I have had this a couple of times and had to 👿 turn off and restart again. 👿
So your Lucky. -
Not that lucky 😕 When I smacked it, unfortunately it misaligned the print and now I have a lovely yellow halo round one side :lol1:
My own daft fault, I should have switched it off, restarted and excepted the loss. Ahh well, live and learn. The joys of PC60s 😀

this happened when i had a pc600, had to get the engineer out in the end.
i`m sure this has been touched on before, do a search.
to get you out of trouble, take off the cover, and when it trys to pick up the cart, give it a tap. it used to work for me.

First thing I tried was the search, but I think its still being updated from the recent server upgrade or something as I’m sure I’d read something similar before 😕
Luckily all is well in the PC60 camp now, I’m just hoping it doesn’t make a habit of it 🙄
