  • who supplies curved illuminated perspex signs?

Posted by Adrian Neill on 6 January 2005 at 10:37

We have just been given the opportunity to produce some illuminated signage for a business park. The agents have specified internally illuminated – perspex faced panels, but the tops of the signs need to be curved.

Does anyone know of any sign suppliers that are capable of producing these?

I have attached a scanned copy of the rough plans that we have been sent. The left hand sign needs to be double-sided.

Thank you on advance for any help.

othere than having them fabricated in metal, which is pretty straight forward, you could always contact the companies that do circular light boxes and ask them to make you caps for your box extrusions.. just two half circles basicaly… not sure tahts the answer but thought ide mention it.

    Ady,

It might be worth your while asking Simplex ( http://www.simplexltd.com )for a quote on the entire sign, they’re not a miilion miles away from you, are trade only and will be able to supply you with the entire sign.

Also I would have a chat to your client about the basework for these signs and the running of power to them both. I know there have been several posts on the site about foundations but these signs will need something fairly substantial – FYI on our 6m Volvo pylons we have to have a 1.8m x 1m x 1m base to meet wind loading requirements etc.

    Good luck!

    Guy
