  • Applying application tape – vinyl / marking help…

Please could somebody run through the basics of aligning and marking application tape and vinyl as I can’t find any tutorials anywhere to help me. I understand the process of layering vinyl using registration marks but I can’t get my head round applying the first layer aligned and correct.

    1. I presume it is important that the application tape needs to be aligned precisely to the vinyl graphic, how do you make sure that all letters and graphics are aligned correctly? Do I need to make marking on the tape to help me align the graphic. For example if the graphic was only 10″ x 10″ but my application tape was 24″ wide what would i need to do.

    2. Can you explain the process to me in terms of making an estate agent sign and a large banner so I can also understand if there are different ways of aligning and marking smaller signs as opposed to larger.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Thanks
    Nathan
