  • fixing reynobond

    fixing reynobond to existing wooden facia(good quality) ..would you
    a. use screws only or
    b . VHB
    c. a combination of the 2.
    can anyone confirm the type of fixing best for this job etc.

    when i use reynobond i make it in to trays and screw through top and bottom and sides this way there are no fixings on sign face don’t think i would trust tape on to wood,ihave taped 2 bit of reynobond together and cant pull apart

    like rich says, i wouldnt use VHB on wood.
    to be honest, ide just get a panatrim frame made up.. looks great with rynabond & the like.
    there are some cheaper d/sided tapes on the go which would help if coupling up with screws.
    if screwing into it, although not really needed. drill a hole in the material first. screwing right into rynabond or dibond causes a twirl shaving from the hole that makes the fixing untidy looking. also. dont tighten the screw to tight as it makes the rynabond dent inwards giving the button on a cushion effect.

    just another thought..how do you hang reynobond in a panatrim frame..
    would you have to bend it ?
