panatrim onto corrugated
Posted by John Cornfield on 3 December 2004 at 10:38Hi
What screws are the best for attaching a sign to a building clad in corruguated steel?
Also best supplier and price?
Cheers
John

Tec screws would be best for this scenario, as for a supplier your best bet would be the local fixings supplier.
Hope this helps

The self drilling ones are easiest to use and will save you time that will far outweigh their extra cost.

Yep i agree too, Self drilling screws are great, they are so easy to use. I always carry some on the van.
With a hex head you just use your drill and they drill through and self tap in one go.
Here is a 24′ sign we erected using these fixings into corruguated steel for a well known restaurant chain!

Hope this helps

:lol1: Rob, How many breezers have you had this evening or is it that christmas cheer thats getting to you 😉 😛
Nik, Cherrie picker could not be used on this one because of the pitch, (Im sure that was the reason anyway?) so it was put up using scaffolding which is another sign firms, not our own, cant remember their name off the top of my head or I would say? 😀

I always try to get a job which needs a cherry picker at this time of year. Reason : ive got a lovely monkey puzzle tree in my garden and I love to put crisi lights on it. Its to tall and dangerous to do with a ladder.

yeah but how do you get them down peter 😀 ?
I use these fixings a lot http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro … 5&id=19050 and they seem pretty good especially if you use the special magnetic holder in the cordless.
