    Hi,

I want to fit a round cornered rynobond rectangle to a aluminium cladded building. I deally I would like right angled aluminium extrusions to “hang” the rynobond on and then screw in along the top, like installing a biscuit tin lid but… how do I affix the hangers to the rear of the rynobond without drilling through the face?

    Cheers,

    Rich

you could either use a good vhb tape or bond with something like alraldite 2021 structural adhesive

Is a bond really strong enough for exterior use? We are making this from Rynobond, so obviously the thought of it dropping from 15′ and decapitating someone is high on my list on concerns.

Just let me know… I am getting nervous.

Rich, I’d say the vhb tape will be fine for the job – especially as the reynobond will have an ideal surface to grip onto. Depends how big the tray is but i’d be happy to use it as long as it was the genuine article 3m stuff. Dont forget it’s quite common for aluminium road signs to have the channel fixed on with vhb !

Rich rivet them on, 15 foot up in the air who’s gonna see???? I can’t give an opinion on VHB tape as I’ve never used it but if the other guys say its ok then why not?
