I’m tearing my hair ( or what’s left of it ) out.

    (hot)

Two days ago I had an enquiry for black & white checker tape, and yesterday I was asked to supply a brushed aluminium panel with rounded corners 2mm thick to stick Acrylic letters on.

Neither of these items seem to exist in Spร in, so I’ll have to source them in the U.K.

    Anybody got any ideas….

If you can help, I’ll buy you a big drink when you’re here on hols

    Muchas thanko

    Lee

checker tape i cant help with, used to be fineline converting before they went bust.

brushed aluminium? le-board from europoint display is very similar, great effect actualy and only costs about ยฃ40 a sheet 8×4 foot.
however you will get brushed aluminium from most alluminium stock holders. local to me in glasgow is richard austin alloys, multi-metals, possibley aalcan again glasgow but have depots all over.

not much help for over the water but maybe call them and they can advise or even google search them.

Depends how much tape you need, but this could be produced on the edge quite cheaply.

Dibond is available as 2mm with brushed ali finish on one side. Its a bit more expensive than the one Robert quoted but has a lovely finish thats very durable. We write it in vinyl all the time for hanging cafe/restaurant signs.

Would Cox not ship the dibond over to you Lee? Or a similar company?

In relation to checker tape, what is it? I haven’t heard of it before ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

    Anyway, hasta luego ๐Ÿ˜€

    Thanks all for the info,

Dewey……checker tape is white background with alternating coloured squares, like wot you gets on the sides of a racing tractor

I’m on the track of this stuff now….but, d’you know I’ve e-mailed and telephoned three U.K. suppliers – Victory Designs and two others, and they all promised to get back to me with quotes, but not one of them has had the common courtesy to reply.

Is it me – or is this a general feeling of “oh bugger it, I can’t be bothered”?

Even business from a silly old sod like me must be better than no business at all.

While I’m moaning, although I’m spending about 300 quid a month on t-shirt material, I can’t get any assistance from Magic Touch. They put me in touch with their Madrid office, but the geezer there doesn’t speak English and we have a bit of a communication problem. It makes you wonder if they wany any business don’t it??

Ne’er mind, Eh, the sun’s out again, the gin bottle’s nearly full ( for a minute anyway) and we’ve got lots of customers, so it could be worse.

    ‘Bye for now

    Hasta lumbago
