Sign: Tropical Fish Warehouse
Posted by Bill Dewison on 5 November 2004 at 14:09This was a supply only job I did in October. Nothing overly special but the design was born out of having too small a plotter and no 1220mm vinyl.
I had to design it so I could cover the foamboard with vinyl, but not having a 4ft wide vinyl to hand, I had to improvise a little. So I came up with the wavy stripes, hoping it would sort of look like a fish tank 😮
The little fishy was printed on the PC60, more time-saving than anything else.

Where there’s a Will there’s a way!
Right?
Love….Jill -
Thank you 😀 Chris, I’d end up with no hands left if I tried doing that freehand. 😮 Prefer the wimpy route myself 😉
Funny you should mention that Jill. Will was looking at his sign last night (its on his bedroom wall) asking what it ment. He’s getting very philosophical in his old age (he’ll be six in 4 weeks time) 😉

At least I have the perfect xmas gift for you, a gold-plate shovel 😉 Nah, I knew what you ment. This time last year I didn’t even have a plotter, let alone know how to use one! 😳
Dibs on that JCB though Chris, they’re fun! 😀

Great improvisation Dewi
I do roughly the same with 610mm etch or frost for the window if they want it a little wider (almost invariably they do: ” Can I have it 630mm wide please?”)
I suggest they have a gap of about 25mm then start again reducing the width on the top strip
Do you know what I mean?Carrie: :noeveil: How do you do it?
Still it wouldn’t be fun without you constantly putting your foot in it and constantly trying to wriggle out -
Dewi my friend how far you have come in less than a year, Excellent work and good problem solving :2thumbs: Only thing I may have changed is the TFW to a blue ish but that is really really nit picking. Well done.
