    Hi
PC600 prints faster, higher resolution and has ribbon saver function
    60 – £2-£3K
    600 -£3K – £4K

i didnt think the 600 was any faster?

also the 60 has ribbon saver aswell, roland just dont enable the dipswitch as standard.

also the resolution is only higher on the black cartridge on the 600.

    Upto 40% faster.
If not factory enabled, enabling a dipswitch would not only invalidate your warranty but does incur production problems actually enabling the dip switch that shouldn’t be enabled in the first place.

If the black is higher resolution, well that’s a small increase in resolution from a 600 dpi machine to huge 1200 dpi

    The Great Thermal Race.

    the pc60`s off to a good start….

    the pc600`s just overtaking…..

But the edge blasts through to cross over the finish line first…….

Joking aside. Spend a few £ more and get the edge.

Don’t think you will need more money for an edge? they are almost giving away Edge 1’s at the moment…£4k I was told last week 😮

    £2 – £3k??? Cor Blimey! I’m selling my PC60 and buying an early 80’s Lotus Espirit!! 😀

Personally never used the PC600 so speed or quality comparison would be a little difficult, but the PC60 seems to be quick enough for what I use it for and quality-wise, its pretty good. It can be quite an expensive option for large prints though, which is its only real downside for me.

A lotus Esprit ? Erk , almost as bad as a Triumph TR7. A v12 E-type roadster or an Elise – now you talking!!!!

I was thinking of the 1981 John Player Special Ltd Edition Lotus Espirit S2 with its 2.2 litre turbo charged engine 😀 Try requesting that after a few Bacardi Breezers! 😉

Either that or a DeLoren, preferably the gold variety 😀 It’d go nice with a Rolex :lol1:

No but I believe fans of Back to the Future get a free carriage clock and a novelty pen! Not quite the same, but fun 😀

Trust me to turn a PC60/PC600 thread into a trip down sports car lane 😉

    Cheers, Dewi
