    Hi,

Need some advice on corel draw please, i have some graphics to cut and there are several curves, rather than one node at each end of the curve there seems to be loads about ever 2mm along the curve. Firstly will this cause problems when cutting to vinyl?
Secondly is there an easy way to reduce the number of nodes? rather than redrawing it all, im fairly new to corel and it is an outline and drop shadow that sign tools has created

    Hi mate

Firstly I think most modern cutters will smooth out the nodes as they cut.

If you select the shape tool from your toolbox (or press F10) and then select your object the outline will change to a dashed line and the nodes will be visible.

Up onthe toolbar there should be a button with dots on it (next to a button with an elastic band on it) this selects all nodes.

Press the select all nodes button and you will see the bit next to the button become active.

Enter a value into this small window (say 3 to start with) and press enter.

This will reduce the amount of nodes in the outline.

The problem with this method is, it can sometimes change the shape slightly so play around with different values.

I usually copy and paste the outline on top of it’self and change one of them only so I can see how much it has become distorted.

    Hope this helps
