another t-shirt help post
Hi guys
got a few more questions about t-shirts and presses etc.
Ive got a few t-shirts to do for a friend, not many only about 10 shirts, for his stag night :lol1: . (prague , cannot wait ).
anyway, i will be using GRAFFIFLEX PU TEXTILE VINYL.on fruit of the loom 205g t-shirts etc. once Ive cut the lettering etc out and weeded, wot will be the best way to applie to the shirt, will i have to cut in reverse etc, this will be my 1st time 😳 .
would be so great full for any help about doing these shirts etc, as Ive said this will be my 1st time :lol1:

So far I have done a few t-shirts using Xpres Easy Cut. Have applied it to Fruit of the Loom Polos using the following instructions :
1. Mirrror Cut the image
2. Place in heat press for 10 seconds at 160’C using medium/heavy pressure
3. Let the backing paper cool down before removing. (some paper you can remove when hot).Haven’t used GRAFFIFLEX PU TEXTILE VINYL so don’t know exactly press time and temp but mabe someelse can help…

another recommened thing is to pre-press t shirts for about 5 secs to get rid of any moisture residue
I have only used magic touch (magicut) and the pressure is medium temp between 170 – 180 i usally use 175 works for me

once the carrier paper has been removed, I always give the image a quick press again. This seems to help sink the material alttle bit deeper into the shirts fibres.
Don`t forget to nest all the images to get the most images out of your material.
After a while it`ll become second nature.

adjust blade pressure
cut imagesbefore fitting to shirts, THINK.
don`t stick your first 1 on the wrong way round, like I did.and make sure all the little bits you`ve weeded out go in the bin, sometimes static sticks them to the carrier, and before you`re noticed, theres the inside of an o stuck to the tee.

I have used the Grafiflex PU stuff, great stuff. I have a press with no temp gauge or pressure gauge so it goes down for 13 seconds with heavy pressure(feels that anyway). Works a treat for.Dave

:lol1: when we first started we would always get the odd stray “e or o” inner appear on the t-shirt afterwards. Our worst mistake was to forget to mirror image 🙄 But you learn from your mistakes … even if it is quite an expensive one :lol1:

Give your t shirts a short 3 to 5 second heat before applying anything as this takes out any moisture and makes it nice and flat for the design.
