    Need some help guys

Currently print a lot of T-shirts etc using our gerber edge 2, we use heat transfer paper to put full colour images on white t’s and AC Flex (color flex, white vinyl you can print full colouronto) to print onto other colours of T-shirts. I wanto to get rid of the gerber edge 2 what are the best ways and machines to use for printing t shirts and clothes of all colours.

I would value all your opinions (best answer gets a discount on our gerber edge 2 with envision 375 plotter 2 legal copies of composer, 40 colour cartridge s and umpteen different rolls of vnyl)

    Regards Adrian

    Hi
Epson 1290 with Lyson CIS and Lyson sublimation inks
and heatpress, only problem is the non white t’s, that carrier stuff is
horrible, feels like a thick screenprinted t shirt
Heatpress and plotter still gives you the cuttable textile film route too 😉

Why not part x your edge2 for a cadet if you not already got one or thought of getting one, no water based inks here & you can get both the white t-shirt film & coloured garment film from doro-tape on the roll, just print cut & press, prior to this i use to simply print onto eco film from target transfers, again both versions for white & coloured t,s using my all in one hp printer i then use to cut them out on a summa d60 with optical eye, hope this helps. screen printing tees is the best option, but it does depend upon how many of the same order you get.

But you need more space than the edge takes up.

    Carousel
    spot dryer
    conveyor dryer
    screens
    washout booth
    exposure unit
    screen racks

    all take up room.

xpress have a paper that you use sub ink on and then contour cut around the image. The paper is better/thinner than the stuff I`ve tried for the edge.
The only drawback, is your prints all have to be “badge like”

Assuming we can get this tshirt situation sorted out (we dont need to get a cadet as we have a Roland SC540EX and I am currently speaking to Doro Tape re vinyl for it) I would be looking for about £11K plus VAT, we paid £18K plus VAT 2 yers ago and currently they are new at £14950 but we have thousands of pounds worth of extras including vinyl cartridges and software that were bought seperately that would be no use to us.

Perfect working ocndition (can be seen working)

    Dear Pete

very interested in the cadet system, tell me more.

I have been using the Alps/Oki microdry printers with Duratrans transfer paper, alas the printers are now discontinued.

Now i need a print sysytem that lasts, tried laser but the wash out is a problem.
