Has anyone experienced problems with the weld function in Signlab V5 since they up’t to XP

Its the overlay and inlay etc

It won’t allow me to drag the colour layers the way I want them on the media

Used to work fine in Window 98 2nd Ed

    John 😥

I think this was a problem with V5 with W2000 and XP but only on the early revisions, workround is to change the colour order on the pallette first , that colour order should now be right at weld time.

Alan: Tried that and it seems to work on the basic weld (which is some good news) but it does some strange stuff when I want to use stuff like inlay or overlay etc.

Brian: Its actually version 5 (crumbs! I sound like I have a vintage)

What happens now? Am I expected to upgrade or should Cadlink provide a patch for an otherwise perfectly working programme?

    John :sigh:

Not so much the version but the revision I have revision 6.3 of version 5 and the ordering seems ok. I also have 1 gig of ram and the undo doesn’t work unless you alter memory settings nor does multiple instances. I think you may be able to download revision updates, not sure. An upgrade is worth it though, I am very pleased with V7 and as it is revised it will get better.

Do you mean revision 5.0 John? If it is we can send you a more up to date revision on CD. You will havta re load the program as they didn’t do patches for version 5.0.

Yes Brian: That’s what I meant but didn’t say 🙄

    It’s Signlab 5 revision 5

Wouldn’t mind the revision of this as it seems to work for the rest of the guys

    Do I pm you Brian?

Thanks Brian for your help :dance2:

    Got the CD pronto!

Its loaded and all seems well in the welding department
Just a hitch in the order dragging facility but I can get around this with Alan’s (Brushman) suggestion of doing this first in the drawing before going to the weld function

    Thanks a million :thanks2:
