high guys im looking for an alternative supplier of the above as we think we are paying to much from our current supplier,as we have been under priced on few jobs and we can only put this down to materials cost….. (hot)

rynabond is my favourite of the bunch.

    rynabond
    dibond
    alucolour

& now laboard – leboard or something from europoint.
out of them all, this new one is far the cheapest i think. but doesnt have as big a range in colours.
it does come in a nice brushed aluminium and silver alloy finsihes as well as white etc.

i was just speaking with europoint about this on wednesday and they are coming back to me on prices for alucolour and laboard for group members.

all in, my choice is ryanbond. its got a high gloss face unlike all others. and is a great alternative for shop fascias and flat cut raiesed letters to perspex.

Sorry if this a rude question, but how much are you currently paying for a 10ft x 5ft board?

I’ve found that prices vary massively between suppliers, but when you’re busy, you tend to just stick with what you’ve got 😕 I’ve got some good prices with the Alucolor from Europoint, not cheap as chips, but certainly competitive enough for me to compete on the larger orders.

This may be just me, but I’ve found Cox to be quote expensive on sheet materials 😕 Maybe they don’t like the colour of my gib *hair*

    Cheers, Dewi

    hi dewi!! 😛

i’m not a fan of cox, as they are very expensive compared to other folk! 😛
i think i get quoted so high because i do not have an account with them!! 😀

without going into it all, i find the same with cox. quote one thing and it goes up by the time you place the order. when you query it, they say take or leave.. hmmm 😕
seeing you guys get same treatment i guess we are not singled out..
a good freind on this site recomended me to a vinyl of cox’s & gave me the price. we arent talking 10 metres, but about 300metres in one go, of one colour 1230 wide. i called cox and was quoted almost double.. then called the branch recomended. (still cox) 7 explained i was recomended blah blah blah.. they said yeh they should be able to do that at that price, but i still need to call my local branch and deal with them.. back on i go and guess what.. nop.. that deal was with a customer from another branch and probably for various reasons. the price is still the same. 😮
off i go.. not amused.. cut it short.. in the end i got what i wanted from oracal, waited 12 days & managed to even beat (by far) the price quoted by the other cox depot 😛

Never used Cox, always Amari, cannot use paperco as they do not deliver to our area. But to be honest I cannot fault Amari on anything, great service and in two years of dealing with them they have not made one single mistake … to date they are our only supplier who has never let us down by failing to deliver on time, got an order wrong, made an error on invoicing etc etc … perfect service. In fact its a pleasure to call them, always so friendly and its as though they cannot help us enough 😀 …. Shall I ask them for the payment now :lol1: :lol1: Ok Ok thats enough but personally I think they are ace to deal with and they cause me no hassle at all.

    Carrie ….. worshiper of Amari :lol1: :lol1:

As a current Cox customer i do have to stand up for them, they deliver what I want, when I want and at the price I want. I agree that their 1off prices can be a little high, but given a nudge they can be reduced.
Also, price is not the be all and end all, when you need it tomorrow, you need it tomorrow and Cox have never let us down!!!

But they do charge for delivery, which bugs me!!!, even Spandex delivery free over £75.00!!!!

Not sure any of that helped…but i like Cox!!!

amari “used” to be that way with us too carrie. great crowd to deal with.
over the last year or so i have seen some big changes. (maybe down to new staff etc) i dont know.. having said that the warehouse folk are still tops.. always chatty, helpful and do what they are there for.
ive heard some bad tales up and down the country but you get that with every company i think. one depots great, another is bad..

We deal with A&P Display part of Cox/Robert Horne etc

We get an excellent service from them, ok they are virtually on the doorstep for us but will always go out of their way to help, we can collect from them and get two deliveries a day if we’re desperate for something.

For example, today i ordered 10metres of vinyl at just after 11.00am, it was delivered by 1pm.

No delivery charges and quick service – its hard for other suppliers to compete when you have a major supplier in the same town!

amari are good for us like this. if they have it in stock we can pick it up in 10 mins..
we have amari 10 mins drive from us..
cox 10 mins drive from us..
    europoint 20 mins drive..
    righton plastics.. 20 mins drive…

amari seem to be the only one that hold a stock of various stuff that we use daily though.. all the rest are normaly next day, which is still good i guess.

Blooming heck Rob, you have everyone on your doorstep .. the choice is yours. We dont have anyone on our doorstep so do not have a huge choice available to us.
