  how do i create a boot disk?

  Needing some tech head help!

  2003 Server, I want to install this on my Dell PC but would like to format the PC at the same time.

  Do I create a boot disk? if so how?

  Or can i do it from a cd boot install?

  i’m not to sure about doing a format from cdrom, as i’ve always done it from floppy!! 😀 😀

  hi

  Dont do any floppy. The install CDROM comes with formatter tool and during the install process it askes you what you want to format and where.

  If you already going to do that, make sure your going for NTFS, and best would be making restricted user with permission to single working dir.

  thanks

  when it won’t let me format the c drive as it has some of the new installation files on it.

  hence trying to boot from the cd or a disc would let me format the drive

  as you can tell i have a phd in computers!

  have you changed the first boot device in the bios to cd-rom?
