Here are a couple of pictures of our Astra VAn, It was done at DDI in Norfolk. Many thanks to the guys there who trained us as well! 😎 We then added reflective graphics and text over it. We even stuck Contravision over the tail lights. Material used was Avery Easy Apply.
It is not our first attempt at a wrap..we have done a half wrap before, but we were oh so un-informed then. I am kind of ashamed to say we did a WET APPLICATION, 😳 but all things considered we got away with it and produced an acceptable result. Don’t know how! On this one however we were shown the light!!! We are pretty impressed with the Avery material.

Since then we have had 4 enquiries from our customers to wrap their vehicles. We are going to be a busy bunch that is for sure!

Cor Blimey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want one of those!!! 😮 😮 😮

Did you originate all the artwork for that yourself? And how long did it take you to apply?

Really impressed with that, if I was after having a vehicle wrapped, I’d certainly be knocking on your door, its a brilliant advert for your business mate! 😀

i am wrapping our vans also.. wont be for about 4 weeks i guess.. maybe less.. who knows. but work is coming out our ears at the moment so they will have to waite 😕
thing is with wraps, they are remembered time and time again.. people take more notice of them at the lights and in car parks.. if done correct, (graphic work i mean) they can be the most powerful/cheapest selling tool your business is likely to have.

Thanks again, That design was done completely from scratch using Poser, Carrara and Photoshop. We use that crazy looking character in

My next wrap projects are for a Fruit Juice Company, we are going to completely wrap the van in a fruity design….imagine that…I cannot wait.
Forget Sainsbury’s and Safeway! This will be the best thing to hit the streets in a long time.

I love designing things even if it takes longer and I haven’t charged enough, it gives me great satisfaction in making it look nice!! 😎

    Cheers

I enquired at DDI for a training course a while back and they never got back in touch with me. Would you recommend them?
Tell us about your day with them as l know a few of the lads on this site would be very interested to hear it. I for one.

DDI were great, Initially I was just going to get the design printed at a trade printer and then apply it ourselves, but as we have never been formally trained on the techniques and having had a VERY hard time on our first half wrap, I decided to pay the extra for installation. DDI offered to train us as well as install it which was a bonus!! During the training day we wrapped our own van, from about 9:30am till 7pm. And then we checked into a hotel and hit the bars!!

We were very happy with the deal and now have the confidence and training to wrap anything. DDI’s training involves a theory part as well, which we did not do, but to be honest I think the practical bit is the main part!

That really works well, cracking job mate!
Do you have the facilities to print yourself or are you going to buy in?
