Below is a mini we did for our local BMW dealership last year. It is a blue mini with a white roof, so we put blue and red on the roof and then white and red on the rest of the car. I was pleased because we got a real good colour match in blue vinyl to put on the roof.

You can see one of my fitters in the background, going at his usual flat out pace!

looks like a great job mate.. how did you go with the comers of the roof.. did you have to stretch to prevent creases? if so, what type of vinyl did you use..

just me being nosey mate. 😉 great stuff.. and thanks for taking the time to post your work 😀

We just used Ultramark 5700 series which is our standard vinyl. It did require a tiny amount of heat, but it was hardly stretched at all. We have done a few mini roofs over the past 5 years (old and new shape) and never found the curve to be a problem for the vinyl.

you have to excuse me.. i ask this type of thing and vinyl related questions all the time.. always looking for alternatives and better methods/tips on application.

the mini you posted second may have been done by a user of this site. im not sure now… reason i say is it was posted about a year ago i think.. cracking job/idea though. 😉 :lol1:
