Vinyl’s are a minefield/nightmare mate… suppliers are too!
What may suit me, may not suit you…
Many suppliers have great products but have crap service and prices, or, have good prices great service and crap vinyl.
Ok, im rambling…
Based on what you have said above, you are looking for a decent quality calendar vinyl. NOT a cast vinyl.
Many use 3-5 year calendar vinyls, but I would advise trying to keep to a 5-7. Not much difference in price, 20p a metre more or so…
This grade of vinyl will keep you right for vehicle graphics, shop front signs, signs, window graphics etc etc
You may think you find a cheap vinyl, but the long term performance will be crap. Trust me… cheap vinyl, cracks, curls back and leaves glue, fades from deep red to bubble gum pink in a couple of months. It simply isn’t worth the hassle.
What do I use? Well… I use many makes of vinyl. Most popular one I use is oracal 751, followed by mactac 9800. That’s not to say those are the best, just the ones I prefer & would recommend trying.
Some Brands of vinyls:
MACtac
Avery
Oracal
Spandex
Grafityp
Hexis
Metamark

Ultramark

The list goes on..
Suppliers:
I honestly believe that no supplier will suit everyone. They make mistakes like any company does. Some more than others!
Finding one on your doorstep won’t guarantee happiness. Shop around, most have next day AM delivery.
Call round some, get account forms, ask for swatch cards, samples, price lists & get a feel for the ones most helpful.
