I would stay away from the window tinting courses for a couple of reasons,
1. They only show you the very basics, although this would apply to wrapping aswell I would imagine (I don’t do wrapping), it takes lots of practice before you become any good. You could teach yourself for a lot less, if you just read some of the tutorials on the web and start practising.
2. The window tinting market in the UK has been dented badly by the introduction of new laws in January preventing any tint being applied to the front door windows. Before January we were doing on average 3 cars a day, now we are lucky if we get one a day.
So from my experience you would be better off going for a wrapping course but I have no personal experience of them and don’t know if they are any good.

thanks for the info on window tinting archie
i was edging towards the vehicle wrapping anyway the cost is been met by a grant ( 😀 ) anyway so i want to spend it wisely

will you be printing the wraps, or buying them in?
how good are you at fitting vinyl dry? scale 1-10? (be very honest with yourself)
have you ever wrapped anything.. even if only a car wing?
have you ever applied window tints?
what type of window tints are we talking, vehicle or office/shop windows?
do you have an existing customer base for wraps or tints?
just some questions that may help answers to this post mate. 😉

some food for thought there rob
have not done either before (spent 13 years making road signs 🙁 ) but as i said i have got some grant money (£1750) to be spent on training of some sort and am open to suggestions on any other courses available.
oh bye the way i rate myself a 7 or 8 at laying dry vinyl and would be buying in prints
many thanks andy

Tinting is a lot easier and has more general appeal (assuming traffic laws allow it)
