Thanks for getting the shots up so quick, Jill…….ain’t she a real sweetheart!!! 😀 Jill that is!
OK…..it’s made from sign foam 3 (they finally got it right 😆 ) 18lb. It’s about 40″x40″x2″ thick. It was routed out in block form on a cnc to 1 1/2″ deep. The eagle part of the griffin and the hermit’s face and beard were left unsanded. (Easier that way 😆 ) The entire piece was spray painted with Costal primers….2 coats…and spray painted using Mathews System Paints and clear. No gilding. All the routing and spraying where done at the “real” sign shop in my town.
It is going to be installed on the cupola of the library in Great Barrington MA. just north of me. The library will have an unveiling and reception which sould be kool! 🙂
Hope you like it! 🙂

Brilliant Joe, shame it had to go on the roof, people can’t see the detail and work in it.
