I use one from europoint, very good but it is quite high tac. comes in 50m rolls, and is a vinyl rather than paper one, but very clear.

thing is cant remeber the name of it , but i’m sure someone else here will 🙂

Mike I use R tape clear from Victory, good stuff it isn’t totally clear like some but some of the clear ones seem to have static problems and I have had probs getting them to lay flat because of this but never with the R Tape, but it could just be my electric personality, god that sounds like a John Singh pun, where is he by the way, haven’t seen him for ages.

I use R-tape too….I think the Clear is called AT60 have used only clear tape for years now….don’t stock paper tape. What I might pay extra I save in application time, especially regularly doing multilayered jobs.

i use the paper ones only. 😕 ive tried the transparent ones and although i do think they are great for multi-layer work. i hate the feel & i cant easily tear it. when i use the paper tape i prefer to be able to rip it with the corner of my squeegee or fingers in a sec. with the transparent i cant…
i accept paper app-tape is not always great for multi-layer work but find it easier to use & if need be i use registration marks/lines to help.

steve, john singh was on the site a week or so ago saying he is extremely busy just now so hasnt had the time to get on as much as he would like. 😀

ye i use clear all the time i much prefer it , i suppose the only disadvantage is its not so easy to rip ,an a bit more money. When working with certain colours (like silver ) i find it diffucult to line up work . well thats my opinion for what its worth 😀 😀 😀 😀

    regards Brian

I bought a roll of the clear stuff because it seemed to be a great idea.
And it is, if you do dry app. like Rob.
But on a wet app. FORGET IT. Nightmare city.
Everything lifts back up, especially teeny letters.
And like the others have said, it’s staticky and hard to tear.
Ask if your distrubutor has any sample rolls of the stuff so you can try it.
    Love…Jill
    ps
I thought I saw John in that other post. He was wearing red fishnets and a micro-kilt.

ive not applied wet yet. and have’nt had a problem atall yet with applying dry. 🙂
seems to me that if you lay the application tape on nicely.. the rest of the work follows suit 😀
    thanks
