Hi,

Can anyone suggest where I can get some 1.5mm boards:

The board needs to have a matt black face and needs to be ultra weather proof as it may be outside for years.

Could you use Rynabond/Dibond? Not sure whether they do one in a matt black face, but its super thin and will last for years!

I think http://www.amariplastics.com/ do the rynabond and Cox plastics (numbers somewhere, D’oh) do the Dibond… Europoint do a similar product called Alucolour (something like that).

Lots of suppliers sell this, its just 2 sheets of aluminium sandwiching some foam. The Ryanbond and Dibond are the most recoginisable of the bunch.

I’ll hunt down cox plastics number, 2 tics..

your right dewi europoint supply alu-color, i used the black last week, it’s not a matt though more of a satin, it’s not dense black in colour it has more brown in it!! 😮 (hope that made sense!)

How do you find the Alucolour compared to the other two Nik? I was going to order in some RynaBond, mainly because the reverse side is white, so I can order in say silver and have 2 colours for the price of one 😀

i meant to mention that in the last post, i have not tried the other two dewi, i’m quite happy with europoints,bloody good stuff though!! 😀 😀 this has white on the back too!!

Nice one 😀 I’ll give Andy a ring on Tuesday and order a sheet. Had no idea the alucolour had the white on the reverse.

Amari quoted me a cheaper price on teh rynabond than Europints Alucolour. and it is next day deliveray where Europoint is 2 working days.

Saying that the alucolour is very good, trying the Rynabond this week.
