    Hi everyone,
apologies for not posting much lately, but I’m beyond neck high in it at the moment.

I could do with some advice about vinyl for wheel covers, I’ve got a client who wants decals etc supplying so I’m wondering which oracal vinyl is best for the job and a guideline as to what to charge for supplying the cut vinyl.

I guess this is a trade job as there should be regular orders.

What do you think, any advice gratefully accepted.

    Cheers Peter

I have used both for both things mentioned, just as a test really, and both seem to hold up equally as well as each other……

Hi Peter, watch yourself if you are using banner vinyl on soft covers, it seems to stick OK but can very easily start to peel, especially if the cover is quite old. I would be inclined to use truck vinyl if I wanted to make sure it didn’t come off. This is a more expensive way of doing them so you could give the customer the choice.
Alternativly do what I do and offer to supply a new cover at a reasonable price. When people learn that they can get a new cover and its only an extra £25-£30 they normally take it and you can supply one of the semi ridged ones you can buy from some of the suppliers.

We tend to offer a new one just as Martin does… customers are usually quite surprised at how inexpensive they are & as yet no-ones said no 😀
