    Hi,

    Whats the time limit on cutting, weeding, applying application tape to actually fitting the vinyl to the area?

    I have been asked to post out the cut vinyl ready for applying, application tape already applied. Client is OK with applying the vinyl himself, no problem there.

    However the client is in another part of the country?

    Whats your views on the time span on this?

    Vinyl = Oracal 751

    Thanks

    Daz….

    hi mate.. not sure there is a proper answer to this. bit like “how long is a piece of string?”
    it depends on how much vinyl you have cut that needs taped. there is no set time or limit. just tape what you have to tape. ok, some maybe faster at taping than others, but you get the idea i suppose.
    if your taping up for 2 hours then you have to price accordingly & for the tape used also. give yourself a hourly labour rate for this. doesnt have to be much, but you have to charge something and make it worth your while.
    oracal 751 is a good vinyl, so you wont go wrong there.

    ok so i odid read it wrong 😆 😆

    agreeing with chris here. long term app tape on vinyl does seem to discolour and go yellow, it can tear easily when being removed also but i think you have a few weeks before that starts to happen so i would not imagine it a problem. im geussing but i would imagine you would send the vinyls inside a card tube? if this is the case the yellowing should not happen as its normaly being left exposed to light that makes it yellow.

    hope this helps.. 😳 😉

    😳 I read it the same way and I ain’t even Scottish.
    BUT when you put the cut, weeded, & taped stickers inside of the tube,
    be sure to roll em vinyl-side out (or so I have been told)
    I think the shelf-life would be good for a year or more.
    Love…Jill 😉
