I HAVE BEEN TINTING CARS NOW FOR ABOUT 5 MOUNTHS, AND HAVE RECENTLY HAD A CUSTOMER PHONE UP TO TINT HIS BRAND NEW RANGE ROVER. I HAVE NOT BEEN TRAINED TO TAKE OUT WINDOW PANELS AND WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS TINTED ONE BOFORE, AND WEATHER YOU CAN DO THE JOB WITHOUT TAKING OUT ANY PANELS?

    Alan,

You do not need to take out the windows but it will help if you remove the door cards, these are relatively easy to remove, however this is not essential you can slidew the film behind the seal but risk contamination.

They are fairly easy to tint as the windows require very little shrinking.

Do be VERY careful when you clean the glass on one of these…They have really soft glass on them and a scraper(even a new one) can scratch them. As I remember the Rangies door rubber just pops off to give you pretty good access. Please just remember only use a soft scourer to clean these.

Any questions about tinting…Just ask. I’ve been tinting for over 20 years now…My arm’s getting sore 😀
