Hi, 2nd hand PNC5000 available, full working order with very little use. What would be a good price to pay for this? more to the point, is it worth buying as a starter printer/cutter?? any advice please
    Thanx

Hey Dazzel, i bought my PNC 960 from Ebay, took it to bits, sussed out the stepper motor chip had blown and got a new one from Roland for £11. Beats paying Roland £50 per hour and as i am electronically minded, it wasn’t a problem doing the repair.

    Hi Gaz,
Just seen your question on the PNC5000 and all those “rude” replies. 🙁
I’ve had one for 6 years now, used most days for printing and cutting, superb machine not had any problems with it apart from changing the printhead.
I’ve just bought a secondhand PC600 because I wanted a wider machine but still use the PNC5000 aswell.
    Regards to all,
    Happy New Year,
    Dave

“rude” is a bit harsh Dave.

I would agree with the rest and know dozens of people that could be REALLY rude about it!

    😀

    hi mate
when we say we dont rate it its not a dig at you or those who use the machine mate.
when gaz asked about it i based my opinion on whats on offer these days. what can he get for a simular price in comparison? we have come so far in such a short time.
if you have one and it works for you then great. thats what its all about at the end of the day. 😀
look at me, after 5 years we still have a pc60.. works daily doing its thing. brings in good money too.. but we have outgrown it. it is costly to run on sizes of prints for vehicles & the like. we still do though, but the savings on the output we spend could easily pay for a new faster, wider, lower running cost machine.
so even if someone said to me should i buy a pc60 i would say, sure! (depending on what they plan to use it for) but i would also say “can you afford a little more? if so blah blah blah” 😉
