Toilet on wheels!
Posted by David Shinn on 10 December 2003 at 18:37Hi everyone!
This is so wierd I almost dare not ask!
I am painting and lettering a truck which has been converted to a mobile toilet. It is a box van and contains facilities for men and women and is used on remote film sets. The customer has asked if I can incorporate some artwork, specifically a toilet on wheels. It sounds a bit of a naff idea, but then the customer is always right, so………can anyone help me out with any clipart?Oh yes, I know its a long shot! Good wishes to all.
Many thanks,
David

Naff idea??
Can you imagine the local rag reported on the local constabularly pulling up a speeding bog on the motorway!!
Nothing to do with the subject but I used to wear Teddy boy shoes until a mate of mine told me they were crepe but I didn’t think they were that bad

Hi Terry,
That really is so kind of you. I can spray, cut and apply letters, but can I draw??? Nope! Thankyou for taking so much trouble.
Perhaps you could e-mail the file to me?
happydavid13@hotmail.comIf I can do anything in return, do not hesitate to ask.
Regards,
David

Terry,
you should be able to attach files, when your typing your reply, at the bottom of your screen is a section for adding an attachment.
you need to click on the browse button and locate the file on your hard drive select it and click open. It should then appear in the box called filename next to the browse button.
All you need to do now is click the submit button and it ‘should’ work

Thats a mighty fine motor you have there Alan! Looks like a Nissan, but the build quality is a little too good. A Toyota perhaps? ๐

Must have been taking a leak at the time
…..or I was bogged down with workJohn

Alan is that thing for real!
It looks like its almost road worthy
Do they have races in them ๐ ๐ ๐John

John, with all this work bogging you down, at least you’ll be flush for xmas ๐
On the downside though, when you’re down the pub and it’s your round, you won’t be able to turn and say “Cis-tern!” ๐ฎ (oh dear, I can hear the groans from here ๐ )
Cheers, Dewi

Hello again everyone!
Thankyou for posting that file in Terry. I showed it to the customer, and we used it as a basis to draw up exactly what he wanted. I have cut and stickered the lorry today, and it looks brilliant! The mobile toilet is used on various film locations such as “The Royal” and “Heartbeat”, so I am sure that my customer will get lots more work when they see the new livery.
Just in case my artwork might be of use to anyone else on the board, I am attaching it in the form of an ai and cdl file. Please feel free to use it if you wish.
Kind regards and thanks for the help.
