    216 – 7ft. x 2ft. strips of letters masked.

216 pulls of application mask 7 feet at a time.

Whew! I feel like I just arm wrestled with Hercules.

Anyone have any tips on the best method/device for pulling tight, wrinkle free application mask across vinyl letters?

Side note: Every day on this board, I learn something new. Knowledge is a great thing

I used to use a mangle fixed to the end of a bench with a bar above to hold the app tape and a straight edge along the bench to keep it square as the graphic was fed in. Get the mangle level with the surface of the bench.
One person alone could easily operate this setup but two working together; one feeding and winding and the other cutting and stacking, could get through hundreds of units quite quickly. In fact it worked so well we sometimes used it to laminate graphics with clear vinyl.

    Have I explained this clearly…..?

That sounds like a great way of applying application tape. Do you have any pics of it by any chance???

I’ll need to make myself one of those.

No pics I’m afraid, I’ll knock up a quick sketch and post it later.
