why does my application tape have bubbles?
Chaps and Chapesses,
I am currently using Conform RLA 4075 application tape because it was recommended by my pal who got me into this sign writing game.
I am still having problems with bubbles during dry application and havnt tried any wet application methods as yet.
I would be very interested to hear what other members use and whether the stuff I am using is right for the job.

I’ve used a few different sorts of application tape, but not Conform, and I’ve found them all OK to use.
Try not to look for all the answers in your materials and tools. In time you may develop a preference for one over another but there are no really bad materials out there. (Well I’ve not found any) It should be possible to lay decent graphics with any of them.
Some of the manufacturers do demo CDs, (MACtac, Avery etc.) try to get hold of them, and if Robert gets round to doing his video demos one day we’ll probably all learn something. 😀

I don’t know whether or not this technology has made it across the pond yet, but if it has/when it does…try 3M 180C ContralTac vinyl (or Gerber 250C), which features 3M Comply Performance Technology.
Even a complete “hack” (like myself) can lay printed and/or cut vinyl graphics down fast and totally bubble free using this stuff…even over corrugations and rivets.
Truly remarkable!!
