I use Techinks on my 540ex. I operate the printer right next to me in my office.

I have an exhaust fan in the wall at the back of the printer, and the fumes do not worry me most of the time. Some customers have complained of the smell, but not many.

It does become a bit strong if doing 100% coverage on a long run, and I do have to open up the office to get better air flow. It is worse on a really hot day. I may buy a air filter this year just to make it a more comfortable environment for the big jobs.

The overall print quality is first class. Only last week, I printed red on mello yellow 551 and the opacity was very good. The colour stayed red and did not turn orange as a I thought it might.

The bulk ink system works well too.

    Hope that helps

Hi Shane thanks for your comments, a question, is truth that after 3 days of no operations I will have problems with the printer inject, and final questions do you laminated your work for outdoor

    Thanks

No not really true. They do suggest if the machine is not going to run for a few days, you put flushing solvents into the docking station pads to keep the waste lines free, but I do this every weekend as part of my weekly maintenance anyway. But you will not have any problems with the heads being unused for a few days.

They suggest that you not go on holidays without flushing the system, but this is standard with solvent printers anyhow.

I don’t laminate outside work if it is temporary or short term (less than 12 months), but I always laminate anything going on a vehicle, or anything that needs to look good for as long as possible. Most of my work is in the tourism sector, so gets a lot of ‘traffic’.

    Hope that helps

hmm, good price. Thech Ink is very popular in Australia, but not in Europe. I was told with one their dealer in Switzerland and he offer me 130 euro per lt! It was too much for us, so we decide to use other brand.

I pay $385 per litre here Juan. Not the cheapest, but easily one of the best 😛
