Put the scaffold tower away after you empty the van that night.
It’s always still sitting in the middle of the workshop in the morning (and still is now 😆 ) -

The VG2 is far superior in the print quality and vibrancy of colour. Also has the added print and cut capability and slighlty wider range of substrates but requires gassing off time and therefore slows down turnaround.
It wont help you, but they are both great in my opinion.
I would take a look at the what you mainly output and try and let that guide you in this decision. Pick the printer to suit the orders.
Cheers David, I’ll look at those too.

Fantastic machine. Thanks Jamie, yes I’ve heard good things about these and a friend of mine has two I’ve found out recently!

is there one or more particular areas of print you are specifically wanting to speed up the drying time?
Do you do a lot of print and contour cut, as in stickers and labels in high volume?Hello Rob,
We mostly do local tradesmen work such as site boards and banners (as well as vehicles) and we’re looking to up our coverage on these outside of just our local area and offer more online.
I’m leaning more towards a faster solvent printer to keep quality up. I’ve heard good things about the Epsons.
Thanks -

quote David Wilde:Its still annoying though when you drive past a new sign that looks nothing like the version you quoted for….
Yes! I’ve quoted to a budget lots of times and most recently for a customer who had £1000 to spend on his new fascia sign. They used another company in the end and had a powder coated ali tray sign with built up, LED back lit letters and vinyl’s. It was approx 4500mm x 700mm. Hmmmmm

I’m quoting for quite a big client in terms of fleet so if it happens, I don’t want any problems.

Same here on M7. Metamark are great but I often get the orange peel effect mostly on Black but also Dark grey.
Again, they advice to warm it up but I don’t feel I should be doing that my end. I need to crack on, not spend time fixing the vinyl’s finish.
This is my ONLY gripe though. The rest of the time the people and material are great! -

Thanks all.
It does seem mad to not have anywhere to run the course for such a big industry.
I may just renew the extension Chris and see what I can do in 6 months time!
I have noticed more and more the lack of young talent coming into the industry.
