Initially the customer really wanted rigid signage as “that’s what everyone else has” …. However, I might well try and steer him back to vinyl as a couple of units have done the same, especially as will work out a lot cheaper for him.
Thanks again all.

I guess as others have said, it could be an experiment/technique to add depth/texture but more likely perhaps the design bod just messed up on the dimensions and/or the template used so ended up with wonky sizes.

Hi Gents,
Many thanks for all the helpful replies to what I’m sure is a pretty stupid question!
I’ve been meaning to look into a different ink system which was once recommended to me by a friend, so maybe time’s come for me to pull my finger out and actually make a switch.

Good shout Dan, I was thinking of that but was second guessing myself as to whether the extra material would become a hindrance as much as a benefit…. if you did this, would you go wet or dry application?

Thanks Neil, same here with paper AP and applying dry, but been wondering recently if I’ve been making life unnecessarily hard on myself!
Thanks again!

Thanks Neil, much appreciated.
How would you recommend applying as a single piece, use paper or plastic application paper? Wet or dry?
Thanks again, is a big help!

Just wanted to say thanks to you both for posting, especially Iain.
That vinyl is SO much better than the other "high tack" vinyl I’ve been sold before (from legit suppliers), the customer was really happy so we landed the job, all thanks to this forum!

Thanks David!

Thanks for the ideas and feedback, appreciated…. I’ll definitely try on some different vinyls and see if I can find a better result.
Might well look into plastic also, just really frustrating as they need to be stored for a month or so on site, and with our paper flapping about it looks crap!
Thanks again and let’s see what I can come up with!
