    Thanks for the replies guys

I have a couple of paragraphs of text to do – I’m using X13 (which normally is great at this !!) I suppose I’m being a bit lazy looking for the bold font 😳

    I will try Hugh’s idea….

Thanks for the kind offer Peter, but there’s loads to do, and I don’t want to hassle anyone. 🙁

    Andrew,

When i have a multicolour image with no background i print on inkjet dark, cut and weed then just use clear application tape as a carrier. As long as the printed image is totally dry ive had no probs at all.

    Dave

Do you press the image on with tape holding all together ?
my concern with doing that was leaving the glue from the tape
all over the garment….if you get my drift

Thanks for the reply Chris – I meant to explain….
We are cutting simple logos using the film
Inkjet dark thro a Epson R1800

The reason I’m buying in the transfers is some of the multi coloured logos
need no background, which I can’t do with the inkjet dark – unless there
is a application tape of which I can transfer the cut image (-)

or is there a clear material to print onto ?

I never have ANY problems with ‘William Smith’. Really good to deal with.

They do 5-7 Ritrama (nice stuff to use) and also 3M materials.
The BRANDED P200 application tape is really good…and cheap too!

Delivery is next day by TNT, and the check at the time of order what stock levels are so no nasty surprises.

‘Andersons’ are also good – if you prefer the MacTac range. Reasonable prices too…(not the cheapest). ps. Their paper application tape is DIRE, almost impossible to pull of the roll without edges tearing…and I’m not the only one with that problem!

    Dave

I use 10mm foamboard , I may be wrong but is correx a bit flimsey to take the knocks ?
    The standard size is 595 x 910mm
As I said above big rad on the corners
    and recess on each vertical

Using a router & template it takes me 1 hour to produce 12 boards

and about 3 weeks to do the 4 colour vinyls , double sided ! 😮

I supply a scaffold company with the panels – in 10mm Foamex
We use a template and router the shape (large radius corners – small recess either edge )
The frames he has already – from scaffold supplies

    Hope this helps

    A small silent compressor
Stencils can be cut from vinyl, but to get real detail I use a film from Crystal Galleries – using a UV lamp and a water wash out

    Hi Martin,
I’m based between Melton Mowbray and Nottingham, I have a small unit on a farm which seems to be working brilliant, because if the weather is poor when we do the vehicle graphics the landlord lets us use one of his workshops ( a aircraft hanger !)
Self employment …….. lots of up and downs and not much in bet tween but at times we are all guilty of taking things for granted…aren’t we ?
Seem to have plenty of work and interest so here’s to the future.
Enjoyed the thread on getting paid this morning as this is an issue sometimes I need to get sorted out.
