What we do now is ask for 50% upfront. So far no problems. A couple of our customers who we nearly took to court and one who bounced a cheque on us, now pay us 100% up front. Still no problems.
We do a written quotation with our T & C’s on the back. This states that a 50% payment is needed before hand with the balance on completion. We also add a check sheet, so the customer has to check thing like address, spellings, phone numbers etc. Again, customer has to sign it.
